| General:
The type 502 worktop unit is 1cm shorter than the dimensions
of the modular kitchen standard. As an example, if a 180cm
wide base unit is removed, a 179cm wide worktop unit will
be installed. (The 1cm gap allows for free vertical travel
of the worktop unit.) Since the worktop unit is of the same
depth as the kitchen standard, it does not project beyond
the other cabinets. Sink: The worktop unit is mainly intended
for use with a sink which is recessed into the worktop. Sit-on
sinks can also be used if adequate gaps are available on each
side to allow the worktop unit to move up and down. |
| Design:
The worktop unit has a chipboard panel as the base element
(rear panel). The necessary fittings are secured to the rear
panel, ie. slide rails at the rear and a bracket system at
the front to support the worktop and its cassettes. Suspended
cabinets can be fitted below the worktop unit, and these will
then move up and down together with the worktop unit. The
vertical travel is actuated by a motor. The motor and plumbing
are concealed behind telescopic cover panels. |
| Safety:
Risk of injury by crushing: A trip strip is provided under
the front edge of the worktop unit. Suspended cabinets also
activate this strip, thus also eliminating the risk of injury
by crushing under the cabinet. If neccessary, the ends of
the worktop unit are protected by fixed protections against
crushing. |
| Materials:
The rear panel and cassettes are made of melamine-coated chipboard,
and the brackets are made of steel sheet. The motor and control
system are of Linak manufacture. |
| Colors:
The rear panel, cassettes and cover panels are white, and
the motor and control unit are black. |
| Loading:
The maximum load on the worktop unit with one motor is 200kg. |
| Travel:
20cm up/down. Speed: 0.9cm/s. Height of worktop above the
floor: 75 - 95cm (can be altered to 65-85cm). Height of bottom
edge of rear panel: minimum of 10cm above the floor and maximum
of 30cm above the floor. |
| Dimensions:
Available in widths between 59cm and 339cm. (Units longer
that 239cm are jointed.) See drawing. |
| Connections:
Motor: grounded 230V socket for up to 1 Ato one side of the
worktop unit. See drawing. |
| Installation:
The worktop unit is supplied complete in a carton in two parts.
The rear panel must be fitted first, and the worktop is then
placed on top of the rear panel. All internal cable runs are
made at the factory in cable conduits. Preparations are made
at the factory for fitting the mixer tap and drain. Detailed
installation instructions are supplied. |
| All electrical components
are CE marked. |
| Miscellaneous:
The cassettes in the worktop unit are selected to suit the
needs. These cassettes are available for different functions,
ie. drawer, drawer/pull-out chopping board, sink, stove, etc.
Cabinets can be suspended from the underside of the worktop. |
